PADI Full Cave Diver Course

This course is designed to take the technical diver to the next level of diving. Full Cave diving is the most challenging and extreme from of diving and this course is tailored to develop your skills, dive techniques, knowledge, planning and procedures in order to prepare you for diving at the highest level. 

This 10 day PADI CAVE DIVING course is intensive,  It includes 16 dives and covers all the topics required to safely dive in the full overhead cave environment. This is a PADI Distinctive Specialty Course and is only available in a few places in the world. We are very lucky to have the quality instructors and beautiful cave systems in the Murcia area to conduct this course for you. Dives will be conducted in the fresh water spring cave of Cueva Del Agua in Murcia, a 28 degree warm, clear water cave system.

This is a 10 day course.

Who this course is for

  • The certified Advanced Nitrox & Decompression procedures diver or equivalent looking to gain the knowledge, skills and procedures of Cave Diving theory and diving techniques

  • The certified Advanced Nitrox & Decompression procedures diver or equivalent wanting to venture into the full overhead environment to explore cave systems

Course prerequisites

  • Minimum age 18

  • Minimum certification of PADI Tec 50, Advanced Nitrox and Deco Diver or Equivalent

  • Tec Sidemount or Equivalent if wanting to use Sidemount systems for the cave training

  • Proof of 50 logged open water dives

  • Cavern Diver Certification

What you can expect to learn

  • Including but not limited to the following -

    • Equipment selection

    • Pre-dive checks and drills

    • Stress analysis and mitigation

    • Following and making dive plans

    • Team awareness and communication

    • Proper trim, buoyancy and fining techniques

    • Emergency procedures (equipment failures, catastrophic gas loss, lost line, lost buddy, cut lines)

    • Line laying, reel usage, jumps & gap procedures

    • Markers and arrow use and disciplines

    • Navigation

    • Hazards and problem solving

    • Zero and limited visability

Other information​
  • It is possible break the course into 2 x 5 day sessions to enable time between for any practice or additional dives to be made

  • It is essential that all divers have a current fit to dive medical

  • Most equipment can be hired for the course although we highly recommend bringing your own (tanks and weights will be provided) due to specific set up requirements for each diver.
